Did I read that right, Hang? Bush is damaging the UN by saying they need to do what they say they'll do?

Yeah, he's French...

Brittany Preston,

We shouldn't be going to war when some countries disapprove. How hard can it be to get everyone in the world to agree on something?

Dixie Chicks reveal they hate country music
« Reply #5 on: March 31, 2003, 01:59:48 AM »
this is from the front page; damn this rag is funny !
 http://www.shamusyoung.com/lemon/index.php

The Dixie Chicks admit that "all those twangy guitars and violins and stuff just get on our nerves".
AUSTIN, TX -- Country music sensations the Dixie Chicks revealed to a sold-out crowed that they "really don't like country music". Lead singer Natalie Maines made the stunning remark in passing between songs. She quickly added, "We don't like it, but that's what was big when we were trying to break into the business, so that's what we went with", and then launched into the next song.

Fearing that perhaps the crowd had misunderstood Maines' remarks, Emily Robison jumped in at the end of the song to clarify, "Look, it's not like we hate country music or anything, it's just not our thing. Besides, the fans can be such... such hicks!"

The next day many fans burned their Dixie Chicks CD's, and some even started listening to rap music in protest.

Shocked that their comments had caused such a firestorm, Natalie Maines later said, "I don't understand why people are reacting like this, or censoring us. This is still a free country and we are all entitled to our opinion, and we don't appreciate you bumpkins hassling us. Also, we will be performing at the TD Waterhouse in Orlando, FL on May third, I hope to see you all there!"

Bush admits Anti-War Movement is Right About His Plans for Iraq
« Reply #6 on: March 31, 2003, 02:02:24 AM »
More from the front page

President Bush revealed his true plans for Iraq, but only after the anti-war movement had it all figured out.
WASHINGTON, DC -- President Bush broke down and revealed his plans for a post-war Iraq during a press conference yesterday. Said Bush, "You guys are right. You got me. I don't know how you figured it out, but I can see we can't hide our true plans any longer. We plan to go in there and take all the oil and enslave the Iraqi people. I don't know why we even tried to hide it in the first place, you guys are just too smart for me."

Under the newly-revealed White House plan, all of the Iraqi oil will go to Bush personally, who will then re-sell it to the American public after a "modest markup". Also, all mosques will be bulldozed and replaced with Wall-Mart and McDonald's franchises, in an attempt to "civilize" the country. Bush also added that, "[the Iraqi people] are gonna have to learn some English so they can talk right instead of using that jibber-jabber language they got over there."
