Allied bomber mission for tuesday
« on: March 30, 2003, 05:54:27 PM »
VF-27 is going to try and organize a large scale bomber operation against a factory for tuesday night.  Please post here if you are interested.

I would like to see the checkertails in p47s as an escort to the VF27 in b17s.  Any other squads interested in escorting or joining us in bombers would be great.

Axis please use this chance to get your lonewolves organized for intercept. You have a competent bomber intercepter in this map (the ta152) so I hope to see you up in mass.

The way I see it working out, is we will tell you when we are going to launch and the general area of the target so as to be sure we run into each other.  We will be at historical alts for this mission.

This will only be fun if you guys know we are coming and are prepared so I hope we can work together on this.

Some projected numbers:
If vf27 shows up in average numbers and the checkertails as well (hopefully the 880 will be there too).

10 b17 formations = 30 bombers in the sky (will look awesome).

10+ escort 47s (I would like to keep the majority of escorts in 47s but I will not exclude 38 or 51 groups).

If the axis can field 10-15 ta152s I think this will be a fun time.

hehe slash.  Just like an f6f with 3 more engines, and a few more feet on the wings, a few more feet on the tail, and about 6 more 50s.

Oh bye the way start time will be 10pm est.

Great Miska, I was hoping you guys could make it.  If we are low on pilots can some of the 880 step in for 17s if we dont get the 10 hellcats I would like to see?

You can count on JG 3 for about 10+ interceptors.

Calibration is not possible in this setup for some reason.  When you go to calibration mode, you cannot move the crosshairs.  I found this out the hard way over the weekend.  Also heard several other people compaining about the same problem.

I had the same problem as pangea last night in a B26. Calibration doesn't seem to work in this setup. :(
Figured it was just something screwy on my end, glad to hear that is not the case.

Even if they dont we will still try!
