Rgr that, I can get the C47 up to about 220-230. I know a few tricks to get just alittle bit more speed out of the old bird. I also dont fly mine low to the ground. I stay up about seven thousand. Alot of ppl think C47s should stay low... I think diffrently. I think some of the knits and bishes are finding out I am not an easy goon kill.
More than once I have out flew a ME109, 110, and Typh. I have found you have to fly diffrent for each plane. With the 109 and 110 you need to slow down and slowly climb, and turn. Just when the 109 or 110 gets behind you about 1.1k out off your 4 Oclock, turn hard into it. Your wings will creak, but you should be slow enough the old bird should hold together. once the 109 over shoots, level out and go into a shallow dive to gain some speed. Then start over agin turining the other way this time.
As for the typh, I found it best to just turn into it. Run head long into it. Gain alittle alt, this should make the typh under shoot, and miss you. Once it has flown by you, I go into a shallow low yo yo, and turn back. Do a fast loop and head back at it. Keep doing this varying your speed and alt. You will get killed if a fighter doesnt get there with in around 5 mins, but you also wont let that typh pilot think he is geting an "easy goon kill"
