I have a 2000 Jeep wrangler, that has seen mild of road use, It has some mud stains in the black soft top.

Anyone have an idea how to get them to go away? I want to trade it in on a new Jeep Rubicon, but I want the most I can get on the trade in.

My advice would be to take it in to professionals and let them do the job. They have more experience and probably more knowledge on removing a stain without damaging the top.

Or just call them and ask.

a professional car detailer, try a dealer and ask for a recommendation. or look up detailing in the phone book and see what they can tell you.

Can you buy the stuff in a store?

I am leaning towards Kanths idea, but I am not opposed to saving the money and doing it on my own, hehe...

Q: How do I clean my convertible top?
A: Convertible tops are subjected to the same environmental conditions that nature and man places on your car's finish. The number one factor in deteriorating convertible tops is acid rain, U.V. rays, smog, gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, tree sap, bird droppings, salt, tar, dirt and grit.

Cleaning:

A regular program of keeping the convertible top clean through regular washings BEFORE it gets dirty, will enhance the life and beauty of your convertible top and make successive cleaning easier.

RAGGTOPP™ Cleaner is the finest cleaner of its kind: a superior cleaner, environmentally friendly and safe to use. It's unique formulation will not harm paint or glass surfaces. Simply follow the directions on the bottle and follow the cleaning with RAGGTOPP™ Protectant, a fluorocarbon re-water repelling system and your convertible top will look like new.

Guys on the BMW board swear by this stuff.
