denial at todays new conference.  But why would Saddam plunge Baghdad into darkness when coalition has the night vision advantage?

Hmm perhaps Iraqis starting to act on their own to help the Coalition?

Perhaps, or maybe they just had a major system anomaly that knocked it out.  The spare parts situation over there can't be good.

Last I heard the Iraqis said they turned it off themselfs and was telling all the people living near the Saddam airport to leave their homes and head for the airport.

Not sure if they want to put up a wall of people between them and the coalition or if they mean to kill them and say the coalition did it.

Either way it doesn't sound good.

ah well, we officially control the airport now, time to have the delirious welcome from the people the Saddamites sent over there :)
