Stick setup help need from the experts

Guys, I've been here since January and I've never bothered screwing around with my joystick settings.....but but recently I've noticed people telling newbies to make sure they've got their stick scaling set up.

Er.....so what have you guys done with the stick scaling then?  Maybe some advice on this will improve my gunnery.

Depends on the pilot.

Some like 100% across the board.

I've used

Pitch 0.10,0.20,0.30,0.40,0.50,0.60,0.70,0.80,0.90,1.00
Roll 0.10,0.20,0.30,0.40,0.50,0.60,0.70,0.80,0.90,1.00
Rudder 0.50,0.55,0.60,0.65,0.70,0.75,0.80,0.85,0.90,1.00


Right now I'm using

Pitch 0.04,0.09,0.16,0.25,0.36,0.49,0.64,0.81,0.94,1.00
Roll 0.04,0.09,0.16,0.25,0.36,0.49,0.64,0.81,0.94,1.00
Rudder 0.50,0.55,0.63,0.74,0.84,0.91,1.00,1.00,1.00,1.00

Ok....but what difference does it make?  How does it feel?  (cant experiment right now....at work).

And, am I right in just thinking that by 0.50 you just mean you've put the slider bar in the middle?

Scale settings will give you faster responce on the stick.

You are safe moving Roll sliders up 100%.
Also, depending on the Jstick you use, you will have to adjust Pitch & Yaw slowly till your happy with stick responce. Not everyone has the same Scaling.

It also depends on the Plane your flying, if your flying all planes you need to find a happy medium.

My stick scaling is setup for the p51 but im using it for the Typhoon as well. So i am mostly in a black out when fighting but can get used to it.

We need to be able to have Stick Scaling setup for each AC. But this may be a complicated matter for HT to develope.
