Terrain: Black Sea Summer
Setting: August, 1943, southern Russian front around Rostov and Kerch
Action on the Russian Front has been heavy, many tanks, men and aircraft on both sides have perished in the Russian onslaught. The Red Guards units have destroyed German airfields in the Northern Front allowing their T-34 and KV-1 tanks to roll over the German Panzer units in their way. The ferocious anti-aircraft fire on both sides claimed many aircraft, although many AA units have also been lost. On the South Front this was not the case, if it were not for the Black Sea Fleet and the suicidal bombing runs of the VVS the action in this Front would have seen the Germans making significant territorial gains As it is, the Front line is stabilized with the Russian airfields badly damaged and the remnants of the Black Sea Fleet licking its wounds in port. However, the Germans have been hampered by the near total destruction of a key staging area by the Fleet action.
