Coalition eats at Saddam's house
« on: April 07, 2003, 01:54:08 AM »
The friendly coalition stopped by Saddam's palace for lunch, but unfortunately, Saddam couldn't make it.

Minister of Wishful Thinking says "It is simply not true.  It was a hollywood set.  America is in no way a threat to Iraq.  It is simply rediculous".

Ollie North says:

The bridges are almost clear.  If Saddam hasn't contacted his travel agent by now, he's about to be out of luck."

Watching CNN right now with an M1 parked at the gate of the main palace.  Soldiers pretty much standing around bored.

Wonder if that gold warms up a bit when one plants his cheeks on it?  I would think wood would be preferable to any metal!

To Blitz, et Al: Just think of the Iraqi children that toilet seat could have fed...;)

funny bellybutton hell.  The marines dragged his furniture into the front yard, and were just hanging out on it.  Like at a family picnic.

Did you see the Marine (Tank platoon commander - probably 24-25 y/o - Lt) they interviewed at the palace?  ROFL!!  Went something like this:

Reporter:  "How did you enter the palace?"

Marine:  "Through the front gate."

Reporter:  "And what are you doing now?"

Marine:  "We were ordered to secure the area, we did, and now we're waiting.  Its not a bad place, actually."

Reporter:  "Waiting for what?"

Marine:  "Orders to move elsewhere."

Reporter:  "Are you aware of the reports that the Minister of Information is denying your presence here?"

Marine:  "You know, we heard something about that.  (pointing down the street)  His office is right over there, I was thinking of dropping by later this evening to explain the situation to him."

:D :D :D  Great propaganda we're running lately - bout time.  :D
