Out sick from work.
Been hooked on this all day.
CNN has really figured out how to grab those of us with short attention spans.  Combat "highlights" in the foreground (outgoing mortar fire in my screen shot), small window with interview, plus scrolling text bites.  Add in a TV tuner card so I can surf while watching and listening, and it's worse than rock cocaine.

The other US news networks are just poor imitations.

Gilligan's Island reruns have more socially redeeming value, to say nothing of MaryAnn, Funky one.

Why anyone with both sides of their brain functioning properly would watch FOX (Fair and Balanced?  YOU HIRED GERALDO!) or CNN is beyond me. MSNBC has clearly led the pack.
My condolences to David Bloom's family and friends. He was clearly the best Journalist covering the story.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

And I thought I was the only AH pilot addicted to war coverage....

Yeah, I keep my tv tuned to CNN, MSNBC, and FOX to catch war footage while doing the long climb-outs to altitude or panzer rolls to position.  If Walter Rogers ever writes a book about his time with the 7th Cav, I'll have to get it.  I still remember his videophone reports when the 7th was stopped in the desert in Day Two, holding their positions, and Walter gave his first report about the armoured column's progress.  A couple of glimpses of fighting men in action, then its time for me to go into action to defend A214 from yet another armoured attack from V2 and V7...
