I am not one for protesting, but i'd be first in line to orbit the airport at 500 feet, refuel nearby, and fly back.  Pickett line in the sky?  anyone?  Speaking of pickett line, rally the banner towers!

Seems like the freedom-loving, democratic way to do this would be take it before the city council, have a rational debate, and then make your decision based on the opinions from a variety of interests.

LOL. There would be no debate in the city council. This was a Chicago/downstate thing, but the last election probably cleared up that resistance. It bites, but he's had a boner for Meigs for a while now and just decided to get it done. I doubt he's loosing any sleep over it.

Hmmm...

Heard on the radio today that our new Gov. is considering another riverboat in the state to help make up for the budget deficit. What excellent timing. I wonder where he's thinking of parking it? :)
