The NFL draft
« on: April 12, 2003, 12:41:54 PM »
My favorite time of the year(other than the season itself) Who is your team and what do you hope for in the draft?

My team is the Patriots. With the signing of LB Roosevelt Colvin(great sign IMO), we hope to have a pass rush and have addressed our LB position. I'm hoping for defensive and offensive line help in the first round(we have 2 picks in the first round at the moment). We need help at receiver too, but it starts at the line of scrimage so I hope they go in that direction.

Vikings need and will probably take an immediate impact lineman, either defense or offense, unless a defensive back of similar stature is available

I liked Dennis Green, I know he didn't go all the way, but I thought he was getting close. The loss of the big offensive lineman to heat stroke(sorry his name escapes me) was not only a great personal loss, but he was also one of the top tackles in the league. I still think Culpepper is the real deal too. If Moss can get his watermelon together it would be a great boost to moral on team.

Moss has matured quite a bit, team needs to get over coming so close in 1999.  Tons of talent and potential there, seems to be making progress and laying foundation etc. Fun team to watch, they'll be baaack :)

yeah loss of Corey Stringer great tragedy, left big vacuum on the line :(
