Aces High 2 On Cd-rom Box
« on: April 07, 2003, 06:27:17 PM »
Wouldnt it be better if the HTC company puts the upcomming AH2 on cd-rom with a complete flight manual? If they do it, they will generate more money.

The complete manual will help newbs how to play AH2 for the first time without having to explore the functions by yourself.

LOL when i was a newb a year ago, i have to find how to raise/lower your landing gears on airplanes and it took me 30 min to find it.

No, definately not.

AH takes on the form of complete on-line environment - which even the distribution of the finished product is done through net communication. This method, unlike 'material distribution' such as CD-ROMs or boxed games, has its advantages in that it makes full use of the internet - No borders, no long waits for release in another country, download-for-free instantly.

Through such strong advantages of MMOG, AH has arranged a pretty sturdy customer base even outside of the US - ranging from Europe to Far East, Oceania.. etc. If people have to wait the 'release' of the CD-ROM product in their own country, I don't think anyone who wasn't previously interested in flight sims would bother to try out AH anymore.

It'd be ok if it was something like a special offer, limited release version of AH2 in CD-ROM... which people may or may not order optionaly.

Seriously this game really needs a flight manual. The manual should be in a PDF (an extention name used for Adobe Acrobat) form and it should contain basic operations of an aircraft and it should contain air manuvers like how to use BnZ or how to get and regain E (energy) and more.

the cost of distributing the game via stores + marketing and boxing cost etc would be HUGE and that means that the game would prolly cost more.  Better that they use that time and money on improving the game imo.

so...

NO :)

One thing that would be nice would be a downloadable CD cover.
