Remember when they were the arch enemy of the USA?

We lobbed a few bombs in there from some F-111's and it's been quiet since.

Whats the story over there? Did we buy of Khadafi?

Kadaffi has been really quiet this past decade. His comments on the war weren't as venomous as one would think. He said something like 'if there is war, we hope it is quick' when before we killed his child, he would scream western satan all the time.

Libya understands force and responded to the threat of it in a logical way. This is a good example of how to deal with this type regime, it worked as far as we can tell. Thank you R.R. for your courage in dealing with them,  I think they continue to get the point.

Instead of allowing them to control the entire Gulf of Sidra as they wanted we steamed a carrier group in there and dropped a few Migs in the water and then brought in a few F-111's and leveled some hills. That made the former big time sponsor of terrorism a thing of the past. Hopefully he remembers his place in the big scheme of things. Not long ago there was a really good article in National Geographic on how Libya is opening up to foreigners more but some areas are still off limits no matter what.
