Anybody know....
« on: July 30, 2000, 10:10:00 AM »

Why, when your tanking and laying waste to an enme field. Looking through the Gun site, it always appears that your fellow tankers are overshooting by thousands of yards? Also sometimes you hit a bad guy tank, his tank stands on end?

Anyone know why these things happen or is this just virtual physics?

PS Who at HTC is messing with my post counter? Its counting backwards.

This bug has been here for awhile.  I think it has something to do with when the rounds quit arcing and travel in a straight line.  I asked HT in the MA one night and he said this was to save FPS, and that he'd recheck it.  See the thread I started on the bug board (Where did that shell land)

The same thing happens in Warbirds, The tracers are anywhere but near the plane to the observing aircraft, or the observer seat, yet it bursts into flames and piledrives to the ground.

Sounds more like a "His FE, Your FE, Their FE" situation. Probably to save on FPS, rather than to track each and every shell on EACH FE.

When I'm in a plane about to put an end to a tank it looks like he's shooting down into the dirt when he's actually shooting up at me .
