Proven by whom?

Who told you the authors of "reports" you heard are "proven to be reliable"? At least my report sounds so nice and anti-Russian - it should be immediately printed in every newspaper! And at least some parts are true: I live in Moscow and have everyday access to Kremlin, Tzar-Bell is there and can be a nice shelter for a dictator without a country, and there is enough space in Lenin's mausoleum for at least two persons...

your rhetoric has become so discredited, you've resorted to idiotic banter.

Western yellow press finding "secret documents" about Russian government offering "assasins for hire" is even more idiotic.

You didn't answer my question: do you really think that McDonalds food is as healthy as they tell you?

France has had many more years of relations with Arab countries then the US has....actually many MANY more

BUT....France is kinda pushing it too far...never thought they would still be against the US for so long....and show so much conviction.

never forget you've had similar dubious relations yourselves as Americans.....

ask the Kurds about your double standards.....

you've been reading pravda again.  You should really get a news source that prints the facts.  Then, you wouldn't think anyone tells us McDonald's food is healthy.  It was, in fact, recently sued for being so UNhealthy.

it's pretty sad when the only way you can win an argument, is to post in a language the rest don't understand.   Or most of the rest.....

Et c'est le point, Chirac est entré trop loin dans l'opinion de l'Amérique.

With all due respect to the French people; the French govn't has been idiotic and not learned from past events.

I mean, even a child knows it is no good going up against the US when the US is in Pissed Off Mood.

Better to be smart, back down, wait til the tantrum is over and *then* start to apply pressure.

We've seen countless time in the 20th century that an angry US cannot be reasoned with and cannot be stopped, and any attempts to do so will lead to huge divisions with little to show for it. This 'tantrum throwing' is one of the drawbacks of the US culture, but conversely also one of the strengths.

They shoullda backed down when they realized 'boy, they sure are sorta upset', but I feel French pride and the inheret anti-Americanism in French administrations meant they couldn't. And sadly enough it probably boils down to envy; France *needs* to get over the 'we used to be a great superpower and we still are and we are the apex of sophisticated culture' syndrome that seem to exist in all French politicians.

But I must ask Americans not to judge the French people as a whole. I've been fortunate enough to meet some of them and once you have broken the ice, French people *are* a passionate people with a good understanding of the finer things in life.

Same goes for the French though - they have a tendency to judge Americans solely on their administration and they have a tendency to consider themselves culturally more advanced than Americans.
