Yes.  Too often some of the maps are reset so quickly, many don't get a chance to see them.

That is why I think we should get 5 full days for each map.

Agree with the timed reset ... LOVE Trinity but ...

Reset with something larger than 5 days tho. Also, agree with curly, if map is reset due to time there is no winner.

If this were to be put in place, it will be interesting to see what type of action will be taking place on the last day and within the last 12 hours of the timed reset and nobody is really close to a reset.

LOL...in the immortal words of Bartles & James...Thank you for your support :D.

I suggest that maps be rotated every 2 weeks. Have 4 'groups'.

1 Isles/Baltic
2 AK Desert
3 Uterus/Mindanao
4 Trinity

No perks for HTC resets (you are 1 field away from a reset when HTC resets the terrain...tuff nuggies...get over it...move on :))

Sorry NB, my joke was that the more people talk about trinity not being reset it seems like the longer they decide it's been on.

first guy complains on day 1 that trinity has been the map for 5 days now.

next guy complains on day 2 that trinity has been the map for 5 weeks

next guy complains on day 3 that trinity has been the map for 5 years..

it's like a fish story...

I just thot it was funny, no offense to your map :p

I agree with a 5 day maximum, but I think that when a map is won that a new map is rotated in immediately.

Most times when a map is reset there are two countries hitting the losing country pretty hard.  The losing country also has people logging off due to lack of places to fly from.  If the same map comes back up then you will probably see two countries continue to pound on the country that just lost because that's where their momentum has been.  With a scenery change there is a better chance that countries will start fresh fights on all fronts.  We tend to see this even with maps rotating because the losing country is low on people because of the reset.  I just think it will be worse if the same map pops back up.  Just my opinion.

Gatso,

I really like what you're doing, and would help except I am a computer moron and cannot figure out how to use the terrain editor.  This bothers me, since I'm not actually stupid and can usually figure things out eventually.  But not the terrain editor.  And yes, I have read the directions! :D

I noticed the file name on your map was "flaky", so it occured to me you might still need a name.  If so, may I suggest "Atlantis"?

Your work is very much appreciated!:)

Agreed, the damn uterus map would get reset dozens of times if it was stickied for 5 days.  :p

A minimum and a maximum

People like various things about the various terrains - it's too bad when they are reset in a few hours.

How about a 36hr minimum (during which if there's a reset the same map is used), combined with a 100hr maximum (at which time there's an auto reset to the next map)?

Eh, a map is a map, hmm my pixels say 2k instead of 1k, that pixel is green now.. *shrug*

The only map I have a problem with is Mindanao, as pretty as it is I'm sure everyone agrees it's unbalanced and should really be removed from the rotation, nothing ruins the game play more than an invincible start position for one country. ND Isles isn't much better for balance either.

I'm sure some folks are guessing that Trinity can only be reset in the south, but that's more of a monkey-see monkey-do reaction from all these lunk-heads.

Kanth...

:D I know..because I asked. According to the GHMM of AH, Trinity has yet to last a full 3 weeks...unless it had a forced reset by HTC (the first 10 days it was up HTC reset it 6 times).
