Not familiar with names given to A/C in AH.
example:  P51=Pony etc.
Would someone be kind enough to list these
names so I may print it out?

Thanks.

Bah!

"Tater Gun" was coined by yours truly referring to German MK108 30mm cannon, due to the fact that homemade PVC pipe "tater guns" and the German kannonen have similar  muzzle velocity / accuracy / range (or it seems so  :D).

"Jug" doesn't come from "Juggernaut".  It comes from the milk bottle, which the P-47 is shaped like.

ScreamingEagle,

Hellcat isn't a nickname.  Its tthe official name. F6F Hellcat.

Rendar,

If you're a Brit "Jug" does indeed come from "Juggernaut".

If you're a Yank "Jug" comes from the milk bottle look.
