Fate of F/A 18 and F 15 Crews
« on: April 16, 2003, 05:10:23 PM »
Can anyone point me to information regarding the fate of the F/A 18 crew and the F-15 crew that were downed late in the war?  I recall that the A-10 pilot was rescued but I've not been able to find anything about the other two?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for responding.  I am saddened by that news.
Any info on how he was downed?  Ejected?  Killed on ground?

i dont know the answer to that one. but from experience id bet he died when his aircraft hit. csar is very good today compared to even ten years ago. considering that we had air supremacy when the 18 was hit if he ejected safely and got off any kind of a call for help there would have been a csar package on the way to scoop him up almost immediately. remember we scooped up a 117 pilot very close to belgrade and that was with no air supremacy and lots of enemy on ground looking for him. id say 99 percent chance that he never got chance to attempt ejection.
