FOUND PROBLEM (RUBBER BULLETS)

They other night I was in the MA and could not figger out why MATHMAN and another pilot who I can't remember the name was constantly going from 250 yards in front of me to on my six in the blink of an eye.  While either one was in front I would unload my guns and nothing would happen.  I asked on the #1 channel how they was able to do that and a conversation ensued that I NOW REGRET VERY MUCH.

I have been hearing about all of the hacking of this plane or that plane, etc. and I made a statement that I was begining to believe that, at which point both of them got mad, FOR THIS I APOLOGIZE.

I FOUND MY PROBLEM, and quite by accident.  I downloaded the newest virus definations from Norton and went through a scan and there was virus in my Aces High program.

Now I don't know wheither I picked up the virus while playing Aces High or getting my email or visiting other sites but it lodged itself in my Aces High folder.

Before I even thought to write down the name of it I just had norton fix the problem, so the only thing I remember about the virus was it looked something like N?????@home.exe
or something similar to that.

I had checked all of the usual thing V sync, antialiasing, and on and on but this finally stopped the rubber bullet effects.

MATHMAN and T????? I sincerly apologize for thinking that you might have been hacking the program.

Since the new server has changed I've had a few interesting things happen. In a good furball I am pulling hard G's and in the grey fog of approaching blackout, when my target suddenly seems to hover in my gunsights. I fire, of course, and then realize he is frozen in the early stage of warp. The flashes hit him, I shake my head, ZOOM! he warps to 2.5k behind me and BOOM! explodes.

Usually, I explain to them what has happened and apologize for an unearned kill. It's nothing new to me, as I have seen this sort of thing for the last twelve years. But, it's getting worse.
