Z-Buffer Driver Support?
« on: March 30, 2004, 05:37:28 PM »
Not sure if this is the right forum but it is an AH2 problem.

I'm getting the message my "video driver doesn't support ZBuffer biasing. Please update your drivers or you will see some flickering."

My system specs:

Intel 2.6 ghz CPU
Asus P4S800 MB
512 RDRAM
GEForce2 Ultra 64mb
Running Win98SE with NV Detonator v30.82 drivers and DX9.0b.

I also use RivaTuner and there's a check box in there to enable 24bit ZBuffer under the DX/depth buffering tab. I have that checked but I guess it will only enable that if the drivers contain support for it. I don't see a box for ZBuffer in my regular video properties. I seem to remember having that in another version. Or did I hallucinate it?

No problems at all in AH1. Anyone have a clue what drivers for the GEForce2 support ZBuffer? The flickering is a bit irritating but otherwise the FR is very smooth.

Thanks.

I'm not to savy on these things but HTC has mentioned that there are some known Z-buffer issues that they haven't gotten a chance to work out yet.

For z buffer you HAVE to manualy edit the video(7?).cfg file, they took out the option on the vid screen in version....1.06?
