Not sure if everyone is experiencing the same, but I have noticed increased "warpage" of myself and others since v1.08 came along. I have notiiced that more players seem to be on and surely this affects it, but it's almost unbearable at times. My isp is earthlink, and I have never had this bad of a problem, so I don't think it's on my end... Frame rates down as well, but still 30-40 at 1280x1024. Anyway, still enjoying the game. Anyone else having severe lag problems?

Lag is always bad for the first few days after a new version comes out.

Give it a few days, and if its still bad, run a traceroute to the servers, and then post the results over in the Internet Connectivity forum

Fuzzy, with all the downloads, it does take cause an unusually high load here for the Internet connections.
I would suggest to everyone to use the downloads site instead of useing the auto-updater to get the patches, as we have provisions for that site which will not impact gameplay.
I just noticed the second patch is out and everyone appears to be using the auto-updater.  The download from the HTC download server will be much faster than the autoupdater.
Just FYI.

Skuzzy, why not replace the autouploader with a popup pointing to an ftp |  http location ? When you auto-download a patch, it needs to be installed and you need to relaunch the application anyway... so, why bother clogging the bandwith ?  :D

Wouldn't this work to lighten up connection, at least for the days when a patch comes out ?

Well Saintaw, I do not write the code, but we did have a plan to move the autoupdater to the new download server, but ran into some last minute problems we have not had an oppertunity to resolve.

FUZZY BUNNY
I used to work in the dallas network operations center for Earthlink
so believe me when I say it can and may be on earthlinks side

Get the server ips there here somewhere on the board and next time you see lag or warps doa  tracert ip#### from a windows command prompt   watch which hops fall out then go from there .

I affectionately address my ISP as EARTHSTINK since my connects are always questionable, ESPECIALLY between the times of 6pm-9pm EST when they do something funky with the long distance thing-a-ma-bobs...Earthlink *used* to be a fine, stable ISP 7 years ago, but now that their bigger...sucks!
