An interesting story on BBC news:

'I deserted Saddam's army'
Petals floating by,
      Drift through my woman's hand,
             As she remembers me-

Martlet,

They will simply deny this as a red herring. They will call it a planted "news" story to justify the war. Franky I am srprised that only one story was listed here. After all the surrenders (especially the ones before the war started) there should be LOTS of these stories out there. But then again, with so many why bother with common knowledge items.... :p
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."
