Actually that was Dingy and Nutz. They got drunk one night and desided to play chicken with goony birds. not sure who won but the ground crews are still picking pieces of reckage out of the controll tower.

This is another reason when I go, I want to go just like my granddady did, in my sleep. not screaming like his passangers.

Tour 11 is the only tour since Beta 1 where a C-47A has not gotten credit for a C-47A kill. Beta 2 houlds the record with 16.

I asked this before, and never got an answer...Not being a plane enthusiast spewing numbers and factiods like the rest of you guys, so my question is just from tidbits i heard, and can look this up, but many of you probably can tell me faster and what the metal % the alloy was in the barrel... Now to my question...wasn't the c-47 equiped with a side gun out one side? If it was, was this on only some planes? or all?

It was not a standard option. Some gunships were made (watch the movie Green Berets - Vietnam era), but I haven't heard of them being used in that manner during WW2.

BTW.. saw its predecessor (HC-130 Spectre) on History channel last night during a "Gulf War" special. I want one
