Not sure I like it

You guys book nuts may help me. Today I was chasing a Spit at 15K. I was 40% fuel and he was pulling away gently from me both in level flight. Not pully away fast, more something like 0.1 every 2-3 min, but still pulling away.
I was wondering if the Spit was really faster at level top speed at 15k compared to the Spit9. Did something changed on the flight model of the P47 or is it a direct result of the global Fm change?

I also noticed that in a foward slip for landing, I needed to keep 45 degr of bank for full rudder deflection at 150 KIAS and 80 degr of bank for 200 KIAS. As far as I'm concerned, my imerssion sensation is less developed than in 1.03 as I have problem to feel what I feel into a real plane.

But this patch is good for average and beginer pilots as they need to worry less about loosing their E state by being too agressive. Before I was enjoying try to turnfight Spits and such, pushing him to loose his E while keeping mine, but since this new patch I mostly get killed. Tought to fight a Spit/Niki who is faster than u at lvl speed, turns better, climbs better.

So now, when engaging one of those guys co-alt or from lower, I start a turnfight (usually 1-2 circles), then I run like a monkey on fire.

I'm a bit saddened because I have less fun than previous versions, but I respect the new FM and HTC as most have probably more fun now. I just will do my best to integrate the new FM.
Dat jugs bro.

I always thought the "deck dogfighting" P47s of 1.03 was rather amusing...
Did it myself few times...

P 47 is not a dogfighter.
Hell, below 25k it hardly is a good E fighter - while it has decent zoom, its sustained climb sucks big time. Especially down low.

As for retaining E - you have one of the heaviest planes ever made, in hard turns...  do you really expect it to retain more E then planes half its weight and close to same horsepower ?

The days of dogfighting P47s are over.
unless you do it at 30k - that's where 47 is a king.
