Dual joysticks
« on: April 24, 2003, 10:38:46 AM »
Just a random thought. I recently bought a new stick so have a spare and two game ports. Is it possible to configure two sticks for AH?

What I envision is having one that operates normally, and the other I can map all the buttons to functions and use the stick itself for free looking as opposed to a hatswitch. Something like this possible?

Hi Sundiver,
If I understand you correctly I think the answer to this is Yes you can.

If you go into setup and then Joystick, then "Select Joystick" you should see all your attached Sticks, Wheels etc in the centre box.

The left box shows a list of Functions, and the right box the buttons and axis available on each stick. You can then mix and match the funtions and buttons etc. You will need to go into Setup - Stick mapping to finish the set up and it helps to right everything down as you assign them. I have my Wheel pedals set up as Rudder instead of the "Twist" on the joystick. I also have a few of the Wheel buttons set up to perform certain commands and others on the Stick.
