Even beeing an inhabitant of the usually gangbanged Rook country, I rather like that too.   :(

I'm with you.  I much preferred it when there were no enemy DAR dots.  Made it much more exciting.  A friend of mine and I were up in Mossies hunting trains, when a pair of bandits flew over head.  They never even saw us.  That makes for a much more interesting time, IMHO.

Have to agree, liked it without the enemy dots on. Maybe have them only being displayed while in tower would be nice ?

i found the radar bug to be lots of fun,
but i also understand that it's there to help people find fights.

newbie players find fights easier, have more fun, stay on and send $ to htc.

we still have NOE under - dot bar raids though.

one thing im not sure of is that if we're NOE in the mountains, where AGL is 100 and ASL is 5000, would we show up as a dot? cant remember if we do or not. mindano has some great mountains to hide behind.  :)

I would love to see tower only radar dots for both friendly and enemy planes.

in flight sector bars are more than enough info

I have to admit that I too liked the missing Dar Dots...  When they are present I have a tendency to rely on them too much...  Get whacked while daydreaming...lol

Searching for or watching for the bogey in a sector where you only see a bar, adds to the realism...

Besides Im a Rook and we fly without Dar on many occasions...

i dunno why most of the rooks feel we're always in the bucket. no offense intended boot.

it's only been recently. i've been a rook for over a year (except for a short stint with the knits) and it's VERY rarely that we're getting ganged. we're usually the middle country that doesnt lose or win the war.

it sucks if you like to find fights that are fairly even.  or even... if you like to fight.

Loved it at times (Mostly when attacking)
Hated it at others. (Mostly when defending)

Would love to see tower only dots.

Laz, Sector bars give you same info on numbers. Just not exactly WHERE in the sector they are.

Tower dar would give you that if you looked before rolling.
