Frame 2 orders
« on: May 07, 2003, 12:29:45 PM »
Good day all!

I have what I feel is the final order of battle for May 9th .  I will send it out this early evening (Wednesday) after I eat and make sure it is not the result of some hypoglycemic thinking.

At first I considered firing off a letter to the "War Department" about the lack of resources in the Pacific theatre.   And ask why does Europe ( which by the way won't thank us or even like us in the future.....I just know it) get all the goodies but I thought better of it.

We have nine squads on our side which means statistically we can have "81" (9x9) versions on this plan.  I think my staff and I has looked at most of them.  If we increased our strength by 1 squad (10x10) we would need to look at "100" different plans to see them all!   Just remember that when you start screaming for more help......hehe.  But I wouldn't turn more help down and I havent addressed the increase in flexibility that more squads give.

So to my counterpart in the IJN, TracerX, you have more flexibility perhaps but more permutations to work out.  Good luck!

........and on through the fog we go!

Yes, I pulled a late nighter last night DoWDoc.  I had to fire my assistant (son) twice cause he couldn't keep my Mountain Dew glass full. :D   What looked good last night was changed twice this morning, but my orders are out now.  Good luck to you too.

Hehe......it's good to know I am not the only one who was up late.  We can compare notes afterward if you like.  I would like to see if you had my tactics pegged.

Good luck on your plan, we should have a good time on Friday.
May the "Fog of war" not drift over our forces forever.

Your tactics?    Yes, here it is, I have you down for the "roll over and play dead" tactics, did I get it right?  Honestly, I was happy that I remembered to include every squad, and noone was left sitting in the hanger.  I'm hoping that all your planes take off and fly in random directions, only returning periodically to refuel (they won't need to rearm since they never drop bombs or return fire). :D  I would be happy to compare notes later though.

Tactics?  Actually, we are all going to be in the "O Club" with tall drinks and tall tales of our conquests of all you meatballs.  Then after we are done hanger flying we may even come up and meet mano y mano before retiring.

I do have a thought I would seriously like pose.  We are scheduled to switch sides after this frame.  I wonder if it would make more sense to complete the Frames then switch and repeat the enire set.  This would allow consistency throughout the frames.

Do you or anyone know if we lose a CV Task Group (however unlikely it would be, :D  does that CV TG respawn the next frame?
If it doesn't then one would be left with forces not of their doing when a side change is ordered.

BTW, I liked you website.  I always try to know who I am up against....hehe

Just some thoughts........and on through the fog we go....

Thanks on the website, I contribute to it, but do not maintain it.  That is our CO's job.

As far as I know, each frame setup is independent of the results of the previous frame.  Some things may change slightly due to the results, but I am sure that if a tactically important carrier force was wiped out, at least the important parts of it would be included in the next frame.
