Looks like turret of SdKfz 231/232 series

Although 231/232 has MG on the left.
PzII again doesn't have a rear hatch on turret.

aa.. thats the hole on the left, for the MG...  that solves it :)

Note the Totenkopf pined on the collar. I seem to remember that Army tankers used the Totenkopf, but it was diffrent than the SS version.

didnt the tankers in general have skull insignias somewhere..
