Hiya guys,
This last weekend I had more fun in the MA than I have in a long time. All due to the many combined arms attacks by the knights. There was a good battle at a18 yesterday morning. We had tanks and w/ ostwind air cover hitting the field from 3 directions. Then there was the air battle taking place at the same time. The bish had 3 or 4 panzers and a couple of ostwinds on their field for defence too. I even saw a couple of m16's and m3's
The best part was all the new sounds I got from that thread on friday. Man it actualy sounded like a battle. I could hear the tank rounds hitting near me and getting closer. Planes exploding on the ground 50 yds from my tank actuly shook my seat from all the bass
I was totaly immersed for the first time in a long time

I too had a blast over the week-end, went from Lancaster to B17 to Chog to Zero (field defense) to Tanks...one thing is certain, when one facet of this game gets boring, there are many more facets to explore.

Yep, if you get all types of units working together it really helps.
This map makes the ground units more essential. And the ground units are the worst-modeled part of the game. So I think I prefer the other map overall.
But the evolution of tactics on this map is pretty interesting.

i would like it much better if ground units werent so arcadeish
ever play panzer elite? That is a tank sim where actual tank tactics, terrain, etcera come into play. HTC and that company should merge and make best air/ground sim
as it is now the FMs are very realistic, we worry about little tiny things in flight model but the vehicles arent realistic in the least little bit really.

Aces High is a flight sim first, I'd rather they focus on the flight sim aspect (as they have been) rather than spend time refining the vehicles. As HT said at the con, "Flight sim first". All other objects are just for entertainment purposes only (ie more targets).
