Ask and ye shall receive. :D

Originally I had the SBD on the US Carrier, then took it off and was planning on putting it back.

During OPERATION HUSKY the only carriers involved where the British Formidable & Indomatible. In the name of "playability" I have engineered a "What If" the US carrier Ranger  had stayed in MTO waters after the Invasion of N. Africa to take part in the Invasion of Sicily.

This will give "Big Blue" pilots as well as FAA pilots a chance at their planes.

Tried to cram something for everyone in on this one - Big Blue & FAA, Spitdweebs, Bomber Geeks, Spagetti Plane flyers, Treadheads, 109 & 190 pilots as well as Squids. Hope you enjoy.

P.S.  Nifity, if you want to carp about something - whine about all the missing planes and armament set-ups the Axis side doesn't have. Will keep you busy for some time.  ;)

Thanks on the SBD.  I am not sure if they were still being used around Husky, but they were definitely around prior to that in the Med as they were utilized in Torch (damn, I want a C75 and D520 to do that as a Snapshot write up!)

heh, as a CM, believe me, I've whined and whined about missing planes.

as you may have noticed...  the gods don't listen to me anymore than the rest of ya.

otherwise we'd have Ki-43, Ki-84, Jill, Judy, and Betty for the Pac theater.  ;)  Not to mention a P-38F or J.  And a 190A-1 or -3.  And a He111 and Do17 and Blen I or IV and Wellington.  ;)  And Pe-2/3 and... and...  and...

oh, and you'd all fear me as I'd have a clipped wing Spitfire LF Mk Vb, with the option of making it a Vc.  yes, that's c...  with quad hispano death rays!  :D

I'm sure it's no worse than the FPS on the Black Sea terrain.

pLeAsE tell me that killshooter is turned off in this setup Boss
it is total BS to even have it on ,if a friendly drops or cuts in front
of you in a fight make it realistic & let him die for the mistake & not moi'  the more realistic & less gamey..the better

Althought I feal your pain nothing other than kill stealing pisses me of more than somebody doing that  Bolt45.

Sorry Bolt - has to stay on. If not you will "ALWAYS" have some blockhead change sides and start shooting up his own field or fellow pilots. Leaving it on just kind of heads off some of the "dweebery."

Would like to have it more realistic myself. Then again with all those "Shoulder Shooters" out there I don't if I do or not! :D

FLEET HARDNESS REDUCED
« Reply #11 on: May 10, 2003, 02:21:14 AM »
NOTE ON FLEET HARDNESS:

FLEET HARDNESS IN THE CURRENT CT SET-UP HAS BEEN REDUCED TO 4,000LBS FOR THE CV AND CORRESPONDINGLY LOWER FOR THE CA's & DD's.

YOU MIGHT WANT TO REMEMBER THIS WHEN YOU BRING THEM UP ON THE BEACH AS YOU HAVE A GOOD CHANCE OF LOOSEING THEM. USE THE DD FLEETS TO LAUNCH LVT'S FROM AND KEEP THE CARRIERS WELL OFFSHORE FOR BOMBARDMENT AND BASES FOR A/C.

Sorry for the trouble, it was set this way at the beginning but was left out of the set-up notes above.
