The Ducks are playing pretty good hockey, but how could you bet against the Wild? After coming back from
TWO 3-1 game deficits, they most have God on their side. Literally.
Last year the Cinderella team was the Hurricanes, this year you have Ottawa, Anaheim, AND the Wild. Yes Ottawa has been good in the regular season for several years, but perenially get their tulips kicked in first round of the playoffs. Who'd have bet on THIS at the start of the season.
I'm a HUGE hockey fan, but if the NHL doesn't get a collective bargining agreement next season that includes serious revenue sharing and a substantial salary cap, the whole league is going down the ****ter. The small market teams (including my favorite, the Penguins) are getting eaten up money wise. There are at least 5 teams on the verge or already in Bankruptcy, and if I'm thinking right 3 teams (New Jersey, Colorado, and Detroit) have won 8 of the last 10 Stanley Cups. Not a very interesting state of the game.
