Capturing Depots
« on: November 23, 2001, 11:16:00 AM »
This may be a bug, but I am unsure.

Exactly how to capture a depot?  Do all buildings need to be destroyed?

WTFO, we porked d71 on the Mindinano map for 45 minutes, 4 troop drops with the depot flat.  No oposition what so ever.

One building that looked like an airfield tower was invincible.  Is this normal?

Seems kind of stupid if it is....

I dunno what capture rules are for depots but that tower is not part of the field strat. it's the same as the tower at an airfield.

Here is a screen shot of D71.  There were loads of troops dropped by air, then load after load let off on the ground.  It did get captured after about an hour.

Thanks;

How many troops does it normally take and what are the base conditions?

There is definitely a problem becuase on two occasions I have seen a depot refuse to fall after it was completely and certifiably flat even though I personally saw the troops all get in alive.  However I have seen two depots captured too so I dont understand why sometimes it does and sometimes no.
