Are you sure that gear up landings make the goon stop faster than with gears down? static friction is bigger than sliding one... Also big advantage is you can always go around, even after touch down.

Come on you have to have style when you capture a field.

When your in the goon heading for the airfield/city your gonna try and capture, get as high as you can about 5 - 7k or so should do it.

When you have a visual on the city/field start a shallow dive and set throttle to idle. Make sure you are over 300mph and then start to level off so your approaching the field/city at around 350mph at about 1 - 2k. (full throttle)

Finally do a double loop the loop with smoke on, open the door and release the troops when your upside down, not only will this give the drunks a ride of a lifetime but if they make it to the ground without being sucked into the propellers it will be the best field capture anyone has seen.

PLEASE NOTE: If you fail this manouver be prepeared for other team members to try and shoot you down.

Use this knowledge at your own risk  :D

Slide C47 wheels up down the road to a screeching stop. Drop troops.

Because they dn't have to hang in the air or run far they'll get in quicker.

Besides, its just more fun.

If your fanatic about points then wheels down, & once  field is captured taxi over to field to exit.

Bah. Take off again and fly her to the runway !

I see lots of people ditch, how about we ask for a glider for AH2?;)

Anyway, I find coming down with your gear lowered, and shortly after touch down, you do full rudder in one direction. This puts alot of strain on the gear and snaps it off.

Your wing will then did into the ground and do a side slide. You'll stop in less than 10 seconds

RULE #1 ----

Make sure you have DRUNKS and not supplies!

I hedgehopped accross nearly 2 sectors and made my approach.  Adrenaline was pumping as I came in and was getting ready for the "Mason Loop".  I pulled up and when I got to 800ft I l turned on the green light for the troopers.

Instead of a nice hearty Geronimooooooooo all I heard was a loud "swoosh" and a nice big 'ol crate of fields supplies was floating down next to the maproom:)

Make sure you have SUPPLIES and not drunks if you plan on resupplying a field!  :D  How many times have you seen friendly troops standing doing nothing on an airfield?  :p
