Nostromo

Bought a Belkin Nostromo game controller as it looks a cool piece of kit, thinking it would fit nicely in AH. Plugged it in. It is seen fine in Win XP AND Aces High. Unfortunately it seems to have bumped my CH pro pedals to 3rd place in the heirarchy and they no longer show any response in Aces High. If I unplug the Nostromo, normal service is resumed with stick and rudders performing as before.

Given the Nostromo is seen in AH along with stick and rudders, there must be a simple explanation why the rudders sit showing 0 on all axes at all times when it is plugged in.

Does AH deal with 3 controllers ok normally?

OS is Win XP home.

Thanks in advance

Hi Fogold,

I might have misunderstood your problem but.....

It should not really matter with AH which controller ID your pedals get bumped to (Within Reason). It does affect some games though.

I'm still running W98 but I would not have thought that would affect the AH configuration.

If you go into setup and then Joystick, then "Select Joystick" you should see all your attached Sticks, Wheels Pedals etc in the centre box.

The left box shows a list of game functions, and the right box the buttons and axis available on which ever stick is highlighted in the centre box.

If you select Rudder in the left box and your pedals in the centre box you should be able to select the pedal axis in the right hand box.

Finally "set Input" & "Apply" then calibrate the sticks.

This should give you what you are looking for.

The above assumes everything has been calibrated in windows etc.

(Unless it's all different in XP - in which case "move along nothing to read here") ;)

Hope this helps

Thanks. No, the problem is that everything is there and I know how to allocate axes etc. It's just that after plugging in the Nostromo, the CH rudders are there but show zero value on their axes, ie AH is not detecting any inputs from them. I tried deleting my settings file (saving it first of course!) but problem is the same.

Without the Nostromo, everything is as it was ie fine.
