Boeing is shopping around for countries that want to build sub-sections or final assembly of the 7E7, due to WA state Democrats that basically taxed big business to death and lost thousands of jobs.  WTG Democrats! (37,000 in Puget Sound from ONE COMPANY alone)

but Rip, by taxing big business, the Dems can lower taxes on the "working man!"  They are just looking out for the little guy you know.  ;)

Democrats nearly taxed all the big whiskey making factories out of Kentucky.  Not very easy for the 'working man' to pay taxes when he doesn't have a job.

Ask Silicon Valley, CA residents/workers what happened in the late 70's and early 80's before the Repubs turned it around for them. ;)

I'm not blaming the Boeing layoffs completely on Dems, but they have discouraged any further business in this state. Now they're whining because they can't meet budget and wants "Big Brother" to bail them out.

Oops, think I hijacked this thread Straffo, sorry! :)

Yes, and Airbus has a division here in Seattle. Airbus likes to lure Boeing workers away and hire them, how do you think Airbus got to be so good? ;)

Galland to lead Boeing France
Boeing today named Yves Galland (left) to the newly created position of president of Boeing France. Galland, who combines an extensive career in public affairs with a strong business background, will be based in Paris at a new Boeing France headquarters that will be established soon. In his new role, Galland will help to identify and pursue new revenue-growth opportunities, lead the country strategy planning process, coordinate company activities in France, and focus on strengthening Boeing’s local-market presence and profile. Galland, a Paris native who holds a law degree from Paris University, joins Boeing from Europ Assistance, where he has been chairman since February 2000.
