Thanks for the offers guys.
Now, to all of you who still don't where I'm coming from, It ain't the insults, although the quality of those have declined to the point where ten year olds can do better,It's the mess, the constant hash of crap clogging comms and breaking the sense of being, Don't lecture me on it's the internet,it's the way things are, I've been here a long bellybutton time,
back to AW on Cserve, and WB (Yeah Wardog,I know,why you think I'm not there now)
And it isn't the same,it's worse,and getting even worse every year,maybe as a social animal we're starting to decline, dunno, not an egghead to debate it, but I don't see it as part of anything for anybody, and passive acceptance of the "status quo" isn't my style,I'm not naive,nor stupid, but I do have my own idea of what can and can't be, for every guy posting here, saying, "that's the way it is" there's what? 10? 25? folks who never post, and don't fly AH, because they do not accept your logic, so what you say? it's no loss? hmm, 10-25 upright folks I could be flying with, insteada these 3 jerks, I dunno, must be the new math 3+1= 20,right? But think on this, HTC cannot babysit this community,it's too large and dynamic,and far too adult to accept such an intrusion. Now having said that, and also having accused you of being adults, able to think and according to law, assume responsibility for your actions, what do you think the solution is? Obiviously not one you like, so be it, but don't tell me I'm wrong to take a stand against it, At least I take one.

pzvg... You aren't making a stand, you are avoiding the issue by "burning yer bra..."
Get in the arena and try make a difference, thats making a stand. BTW I do feel the players could do more to police each other in the arena. IMO the AW3 arenas are much more civilized...

I think you're just broke and irritated that you can't afford an account...I'm sorry, but I don't buy this (I'm just so far above the riff raff that I can't stand to associate with such a vile and unworthy group of folks)crappola. Please....if you can't find a squad or a group of good folks to fly around and kill stuff with, then perhaps the problem here is you? Through your own admission, there are good people in our community...it's not our fault you choose to focus on the negative.

Whoever suggested that you be a part of the community and add something positive, well, I agree with that. As far as your 20-25 players that won't play because we're such bad folks, perhaps they talked with you about AH and never got to know others in the community.

You're correct...these sims with their communities do change in some respects, however, we can all try to do our part to make a difference. Unless of course, you're more comfortable just pointing your finger at everyone else...that in my opinion is a large part of whats wrong in the world and this sim as well.

I really do hope you can find a way to come and play...if not, maybe you should look for your answers somewhere other than the AH community, which you have so eloquently crapped on.

it was my $30 that enabled me to talk smack, when someone said crap about me, that just made me want to kill them more

Hehe it's a pilot thing!

If you guys could be flies on the wall in a ready room or flight planning room or fighter bar somewhere you'd be thinking, "Geez, what a bunch of...er...hey, they sound just like US!"

I actually heard an A-10 pilot in the bar "challenge" an F-16 guy to a dogfight once. And he was serious (at least as serious as an inebriated 2nd Lt can be). The only rule, of course, was that it HAD to be a headon pass.

Even real pilots are more interested in their own "fun" than "fair play," apparently...

You guys are doin OK. If you cut out all the nastiness and whining, you won't be "flyers" anymore. Cricketers, maybe, but not flyers

Wouldn't it be fun to meet someone drinking beer sometime, and find out that he was a Warbirder, or an Aces High...er...er or an Air Warrior who you'd actually flown with or heard of?

And then commence to whining about what's wrong with your sim?

I personally met up with PZVG and WERT this summer at my home. They're both great guys, no different from an average Joe Blow. We discussed everything from politics to Flight sims, and believe me, PZ's a great guy. I think(and correct me if I'm wrong) what his message is this: Grow up and act your age. Too much piddly little whining going on in the community. Too much 'elitism' is apparent. Treat each other the same way you want to be treated.

That's how I read it too, Rip. And he has a good point. The problem is, it's akin to bangin' yer head against the wall... because no amount of complainin' about it will change some of these idiot's behavior. C'est la vie.
