I grew up on a farm in SW Arizona (near Yuma).  Ever try to touch anything on a tractor in 120deg weather?  That sizzle is your finger.  And "chopping cotton" (until cotton gets to be a certain height you have to hoe the weeds out from between the plants) is a real drag too.

Then I spent a year in Austin and my grandparents live in Sherman, TX.  I'll take the dry heat anytime.

heh, September day games in Tallahassee aren't much fun when wearing a band uniform and marching around (though much better than being a big ol' offensive lineman!)  Thankfully, it's a natural grass surface.  Did the Meadowlands once in August.  Over 120F on the field.  Felt like my shoes were melting.  I felt sorry for the football teams in that one.  :(  (btw, FSU 42 Kansas 0 in that one!)

Point taken, FSU sucks, should have been 84 to 0. :D
