Geforce3Ti-200
« on: May 25, 2003, 07:59:51 AM »
About a year ago, I was getting a frame rate of just under 100 with this card, using DirectX8.1

Since updating card drivers a few times, along with DirectX9 my FR is down to mid-60's

Would anyone know how to get the FR back up?

Just out of curiousity, what new card would you suggest that carries a price tag of $150 or less?

Thanks,

Overclock it, these cards normally have a lot of room.

I am running mine at 220/490 at 1280x1064 32 bit getting 75 which is monitor refresh, mid 40's at a large burning base with lottsa planes around.

Make sure that anti-aliasing or anisotropic filtering haven't been enabled.

These will improve picture quality, but lower your frames per second.

You can find Geforce Ti4200's for about $100 on http://www.pricewatch.com

Good little card,and overclocks nicely.
