Grateful Dead shows are a real kick with staff passes, but my favorite overall concert was the Tacoma U2 Achtung Baby concert.  That was sharp.

My fave moment at a concert was in Toronto...The Police Picnic, during Joe Jackson's preformance..a classmate of mine whipped a half eaten hotdog and hit poor Joe in the face..."You BASTARDS don't appreciate anything!!"..he said as he walked off stage ending his set after 10 minutes.

My favorite concert was AMAZING.

I like rock mostly, but I got to attend a private concert by Alabama about 10 years ago and it was GREAT.

There were only about 300 people there and I was nearly close enough to touch them.

Alabama has so many major number one's and other hits..... and they can perform. I, being a musician, was very impressed by their live performance
.

They kept playing songs that I instantly knew....and I'm no country fan.

TOOL is one I'd definitely like to see, but haven't been able to yet...  :(

On my all time wish list is Mark Knopfler/Dire Straits, but he cancelled his tour after he had a bad wreck on his motorcycle. My wife and I were going to plan a trip to England coinciding with any concerts he was putting on. Guess we have to wait till he heals up to make the trip across the pond.

Grateful Dead.. 197?  It was in San Jose at Spartan Stadium, and the local chapter of the Hells Angels were there. In fact they filed in and sat all around me and my date. Turned out to be one hell of a party :)

Little Feat live... incredible. Saw them twice as the opener for bigger names... stole the show.

How about Charlie Daniels opening for Jethro Tull... :) 1976

The Who and the Dead.. Candlestick Park Day on the Green 1976.

Genesis.. Trick of the Tale tour... 1977.

U2-Zooropa at Autzen Stadium in Eugene ranks at the top.  Jimmy Buffett at Shoreline, Greatful Dead at Autzen (more of the experience then the music)...any OUTDOOR concert is a favorite.
