Anyone got any relatives with stories from invasions, not just D-Day?
My father in law was involved in the invasion of Tarawa, (for which a currently active LHT is named) and three others. Only story he has ever told, and I've known him for 30 years, is his about getting strafed whilst he worked on a burial detail.
