Sneaking fields is way too easy on the Uterous map.  Field capture should be difficult.  It should take some effort.  It should take some teamwork.  Please fix this.

But then again, its also easy to recapture it when the interest of colliding players move on to other field.

 Conclusion: You see a suspicious radar contact, go confirm it, and report it on radio.

ps) sneaking is undoubtably easy. But then again, I've found out heavy GV assault on field-towns bring out lot more intense ground battles and 'tactical air support needed' situations. Which, as some people may laugh, make me wonder 'ah, so this is what the guys at Eastern front might have felt..'. Seeing hoardes of friendly GVs near an enemy town attacked by hoardes of IL-2s being bounced by hoardes of friendly air support engaged by hoardes of enemy fighters does seem to have its unique charm  :)

Yeah, it's got charm alright.

Today, I killed a Flak by staying out of the 3k icon range and hailing .50 cal fire upon him from my M16 (I've been the brunt of this before, and had to check it out). He couldn't even touch me. It took a ton of ammo, but he died.

Somehow, that doesn't seem right.

Wouldn't that be more reason for revision of damage modelling, rather something about GV strats/tacts stuff at Uterus?   :confused:

It wouldn't be so bad if you had more time to check out the fields when you see a dot.  But realistically you can get a P51 in the air, spawn a M3 when he gets close and have the M3 rolling in as he strafes three acks.  It can happen in a very small amount of time.  To me it doesn't matter that you can do it back just as easily.  Field capture should be tougher and require more teamwork.  Most people aren't here to sneak fields.  They are here for a challenge, whether that is in buffs, fighters or GVs.

That I totally agree. But then again, there ARE people requesting the total obliteration of any meaningful mechanical stuff other than 'fighter planes'. Make field capture harder, and you can expect what is about to come:

"Hey, I haven't got time to roam around and cooperate with some one"
"Hey, if I have to wait for those lame GVs and Buffs to arrive into scene before I attack something, forget it. That's not 'fun'."
"Hey, this is an aerial combat game. Why do we have need for those buffs anyway."


 and on and on and on and on.

 Considering that, I think it would be more preferable to just minorly tone down or adjust, fine tune stuff than drastically change MA strat conditions to the taste of one prefereance existing within MA pilots.

 I'm pretty much sure HTC will add and refine stuff within the boundaries of current tech. to adjust these sort of things in the future. Until then, I don't think we have much choice than sit here and whine  :D about it.  :)
