Seems 0.38 has ruined connections for me.  Upon logging in the past 2 days I've been getting "Not recieving data switched to TCP" about 90% of the time.  If I wait it out it will sometimes finish displaying the map and I can attempt flying, but will be greeted by plenty of orange/red beacons, while it will usually just result in a dump.  Other times while logging in it just skips the error and dumps at the arena screen.

I've had no connection problems prior to the new patch.  It seems that now that I have a plane I want to fly, it won't let me.  I've tried messing with my connection, turning error correction, on and off.  Nothing
I'm connected to earthlink at 52,000 bps, not exactly cable, but I'm not an AOLer either....

Also noticed that hitechcreations.com loads REALLY SLOW.  From the time I hit General Discussion to the time the posts appeared was exactly 3'38" (i timed it, nothing better to do when waiting for this thing to load)

It seems my modem wants nothing to do with AH. <sigh>
I'm out of ideas, anyone else?

Same story for me but it happened after the 2nd version was released.

Check in your control panel seetings for your joystick and if [poll with interupts] is not checked on then ckick on it to select that option.
This is what HiTech had me do and since then I've been able to fly with no problem.
I do have to remember to uncheck it when flying other sims but it's not a big deal.
There's no reboot involved in selecting it.

Poll with interupts was NOT checked.  I enabled it, but still no difference with my connections.  Nice try anyways, next suggestion......

Go into dial-up networking and make a new connection(I named mine AH)then configure this connection as follows. Connect speed at 19,200 check box at this speed only.Port settings move both to far left, advanced uncheck compress data and uncheck use error control. For surfing you will need to change the port settings back to default for faster surfing.

No good.  I made a second dial-up connection EXACTLY like the first, yet it refuses to connect.  In addition I cannot force connect at 19200, as the box is mysteriously greyed out.

Yes, sadly it is a winmodem....who ever designed these damn things anyways?  Who was it that said, "Hey, lets make a piece of junk that does all the work in software so it bogs down the system!"

I downloaded 0.38 logged on had a couple of sorties then i read this thread i though poor guy i'm glad i don't have those problems. Since then every time i try to get into the arena i get that TCP thing and haven't been able to fly.

I blame you lot.
