Suggestion for Buff Formations HTC please read

Right now only "heavy" buffs are usually upped because only the B17/Lancs have the bombload and defensive ability to actually achieve something in the game. B26s are usually taken for their speed and the 50 cals. But ive yet to see Ju88s, Ki67's, Bostons, etc. , aka, "light buffs" used in the same regularity.

So here's my suggestion:

The lighter the buff bombload and/or the lower the buff's survivability (aka defensive guns or speed or both), the more buffs per formation.

Aka:

B17 (best defensive ability) : 3 buff formation

Lancaster: 4 buff formation (crappy defense but good bombload)

B26: 5 Buff formation

Ki67: 5 buff formation

Ju88: 6 buff formation (excellent bombload but very low survivability. SLOW to boot)

Boston: 8 buff formation (crappy bombload, weak, minimal to no defenses)

The above would allow players to have just about the same impact on a target if they reach it (more buffs in formation =more bombs + more chances to get to target with at least 1 buff) regardless of what they fly.

Our squad ups A20s in formation all the time and love to use JU88's for torpedo runs.
Maybe that's just us.

There are some very under used buffs.  The JU88 is a prime example....it climbs way to slow, and is basically defenseless against all but the greenest enemy pilots.  Dont know if your solution would make any difference for JU88's though....cause 1...3.....30 it doesnt matter if Im attacking them....cause Im comming in from 10 O'clock high.....and there just aint no guns there:D

One of the big issues I have is the uselessness of some of the navy bombers....who wants to take up a bomber that carries less tonnage than many fighters.....MUCH LESS....and is slower...less manuverable yada yada yada.    I would love to see these Navy planes have bombs that did 5x damage on ships or something.

Alf

I think most of the Navy Bombers were designed for Scenario and Historical Events...  I agree they are of little use in the MA.

BTW... I like your website...
