Visibility

has anyone considered visibility in AH?
ie: the clarity of the atmosphere.
Has anyone here flown through a cloud in external view and zoomed out?
notice how the aircraft begins to blend into the cloud then fades from view and visa versa zooming in?

its clear that the effect is already in place on a small scale.

now imagine being able to adjust atmospheric visibility in the same manner?

instead of always having 50mile visibility it could be decreased from unlimited visibility to near total overcast fog conditions.

aircraft would fade into view and be less pronounced at long range.

this is a primary difference between WB and AH. in wb the visibility is pretty limited and gives a sense of being higher than in AH which has what seams to be 50mile visibility.

with such a slider the arena could be tweaked to give higher framerates, better immersion and smoother less obvious signs of aircraft flying at long range (dot range) or out of icon range. yet at closer ranges the clarity would remain as it currently is perhaps

just a thought.

Excellent point.

Dammo; I am starting to agree a LOT with citabria. This is definitely not good.

That's what having to be absent from AH does to yer mind  .
