Two-week rotation
« on: June 17, 2003, 06:21:47 PM »
I know there will be setups where I would regret it, but what do you guys think about a two week instead of one rotation for the CT map?

There has been a few recent maps that I have regretted seeing go.  Some of them I have loved right from the start and could easily get two weeks enjoyment out of them.  Then there are others that I initially couldn't stand, then after a little acclimation period I found myself wishing I had a few more days in the setup.

Just curious what the rest of the CT people think.

We used to do a two week rotation, and we found that attandance would almost always drop signastudmuffinantly during the second week.

We then switched to one week rotations and discovered some  plusses in so doing:

Attandance dident experance as bad a drop toward the end of the set up, ( daa... it was shorter:) )

We were able to bring back old set up's and run them that were popular more ofetn as a result, ( Kanttories map for instance)

We can do more stuff, more diversity, is good for the comunity, some players dont like certain set up's and heck it's just a week long so it's not such a big deal.

It's better for the Staff's moral, were all hear becuase we love it and we want to work...as it is we all just work one in 4 week's normaly, we had 5 stafer's at one point and then it was just once in 5 week's.

This also alows us to experement more and if we screw up you will not see that set up again and it is only a week...

All excellent answers Brady, thank you.   I didn't realize you had tried a two week rotation before.

Appreciate your reply and the work all the CT staffers do.
