Whats the best vid card for an AGP4x mobo?
« on: June 18, 2003, 05:37:54 PM »

Ill be upgrading my vid card for AH2.
Is it worth getting a Geforce4 ti 128mb if my intel 815e mobo only supports 4x AGP ?.
Im running a PIII 933, 512 sdram, current vid card is crappy geforce 2 mx 32mb.
Thanks in advance!

you will never see the difference betwen apg 4x or 8x.  So the short answer is yes by all means get a gf4ti4200 128mb you will see a huge difference in game perfomance

Your 933Mhz CPU will not allow you to realize the full potential of the new card you are choosing.  Just FYI.

Skuzzy,

So what would your recommendation be for AH2?.
A CPU upgrade to ....
plus a .... vid card?

If you are not sure yet because AH2 isnt near enough, just give me your best estimate, im happy with my comp as it its, so upgrade will be primarily focused on AH2.
Thanks! :)
