And in Aces high you can say crap but not ass

what pisses me off is that if you type something really long and it has a single minor bad word like br ass....your entire text doesnt go threw and you get a dumb message, then you have to retype it

Why not sensor the word and let the text go threw

sure you can say bad words on the BBS, just use different ASCII codes. for instance- *****. I won't tell you what the codes are,and how to type them,  I don't want Skuzzy to ban me :)

So you seem to think it's ok to encourage and tell people how to get around the rules, but it's ok as long as you don't provide detailed instructions? I wouldn't be so sure if I were you.

Hmmm...I'm a junior member? I've been registered since Jan of 2000, before most of you. I don't post much because I never have anything intelligent to say but since that doesn't seem to stop anyone else.....

America's Army has a parental language filter that substitutes **** asterisks for the words deemed foul.  I like that when my kids are playing.  It's not more offensive than wtf.

An interesting feature is that with or without the language filter America's Army will automatically substitute a phrase.  For example, "camper" becomes "person using tactics".

The same feature in Aces High might be interesting:

Dweeb = dead man flying
Vulch = death by stupidity
HO = death by stupidity, too.

Which is interesting... it's not offensive to shoot the image of another person, but if you say ****, that's over the top.
