Changed my POS 350 watt power supply for an enermax 350 duel fan.
I went in to get a new fan and the fan and processer where on for 120 canadian(80 US?) So wtf. I upgraded from a 1800 athelon to a 2500 at the same time.
Finely figured how to make a dos boot disk in XP..
upgraded my bios on my a7v333 to take the higher processor.
what a blast. I can see why the moding thing gets fun..
When I had the old akua HS off. I noticed that the pastejob the place I bought it from had done was pretty lame. Lesson learned on that. Probably didnt need all those extra fans..just a good application of artic silver. (its easy to do..dont hesitate!)
It took me a while to figure out that a small flat tip screw driver is centeral to releasing the clip on the Heat Sink. I learned long ago that if you pushing hard on your pc your probably doing it wrong so just kept thinking about it till I gave up and read the instructions.
So new power supply(10 minutes), new hs/fan(30 minutes) unplug all external case fans but one intake fan. PC is a lot quiter. way quiter.
Little bit of an intemitent whine that I will track down.
highly recomended upgrade if your tired of you pc noise.
