I was thinking of that master of the skies, the Bolton-Paul Defiant. Stunning to imagine the thought processes that demanded a fighter whose main armament was placed in a rear facing turret...

Getting an enemy on your six is much easier than getting one on your twelve. The Defiant was designed by someone who was NOT a fighter pilot. Probably a Rook.
