Interface & moving around questions?
« on: November 18, 1999, 02:54:00 PM »
Hey is there any way to move to different
airfields offline? I've been trying to
start at a field other than F1 lately and
each time I click "fly" I am immediately sent
back to the tower.

Also, is there a way to just "jump" to the
various features on the clipbboard instead of
having to physically "walk" from one building to another?

Lastly, is there a map that has an overhead
view instead of the oblique side-angle that you see in the bunker? I can't read the field
numbers from that perspective and I'd like
to see what the rest of the map looks like
in case I ever go there...

Thanks

Grump

Grump,

1.  Seems like you are trying to take off from an enemy airfield.  To move to another field, pull up the radio buffer by hitting the / key, then type .move X with X being the friendly field you want to take off from.

2.  There is a slider in the GUI setup that controls how fast you "walk".  Hit the setup button on the clipboard, then the GUI setup button and experiment with the slider to find the speed that suits you.

3.  When in the map room, hit F3 for external view, then F8 for pan, then use your arrow keys to position your view above the table.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Ronni for the quick reply!

(and, uh thanks Sunchaser for reassuring me that I'm not the only one who didn't understand how it worked <G> )
